Chair Twist Exercise

So don’t just sit there: use the chair to help improve your fitness.

The Chair Twist exercise can actually help you increase your upper body turn if done on a regular basis.

  1. Sit in a chair with your spine erect, keeping your head, neck and spine aligned in a straight line.
  2. Rotate your upper body to the right, keeping your lower body stable as you try to touch the opposite part of the chair with your right hand as you place your left hand on your right knee as shown.
  3. Hold position for a moment, breathing deeply. Return to the start position and repeat of the opposite side.
  4. Do 8 to 10 repetitions on each side.
