Your Body is Amazing

Your body is amazing.  Everyday it does amazing things to function, not mention what it has to do to swing a golf club. The golf swing involves nearly every muscle and joint in the body. In the backswing alone, the shoulder complex has to externally and internally rotate, retract and protract while the hips and spine rotate to create coil.  Almost every muscle in the body is used in the backswing including loading the quadriceps, gluteus medius and maximus, the obliques have to coil as the lastissimus dorsi and rhomboids elongate and stretch.  Not to mention what happens in the downswing.  Your body can do amazing things.  Are you taking care of your body?  Does it help or hurt your golf swing?

One of the biggest problems for the average golfer is the inability to achieve and reproduce the technically correct positions in the golf swing.  Not because they don’t want to or understand them, but because many try to move in positions that aren’t physically possible because of limitations in range of motion in the muscles and joints. Are you capable of moving through full range of motion with your muscles and joints?  If not, then why not work on your getting more flexible and stronger?

Are you achieving full range of motion in your golf swing?

Does your body allow you to achieve full range of motion?
