Welcome to Week 6 of the CardioGolf® Online Studio Seasonal Training! We are progressing through our training program.

Periodization for Optimal Performance:

To maximize your golf performance, CardioGolf® employs the powerful technique of Periodization. This approach involves strategically varying your training program at regular intervals, aligning it with the seasons for optimal gains in physical performance. Seasonal training helps deliver the variety and intensity needed to prevent plateauing and continually challenge your body.

During this time, we are in what is considered to be ‘Off-Season.’  Most people are not playing golf as frequently and are indoor-bound most of the time.  We need to seek out movement.

Important: Even golfers who live in warm weather climates (such as Arizona or Florida) should divide their year into these three categories.

Golf conditioning works best when there is a specific focus according to the time of year. Even if you can play golf year-round in your home environment, you will benefit from dividing your workouts into these types of segments.

The Off-Season Segment: Posture, Balance, Stability

In this phase, we emphasize the foundational elements crucial for a powerful and controlled golf swing. Utilizing tools like The CardioGolf® Fit Slope, Pilates, and Stability Ball, we target posture, balance, and stability.

  • Posture: Focus on cultivating a strong and efficient posture using CardioGolf® Fit Slope exercises. Establishing a solid foundation is key to optimal golf conditioning.
  • Balance: Elevate your balance game through dynamic drills that seamlessly combine The GolfGym® Stability Ball exercises. A strong base sets the stage for a more controlled and consistent swing.
  • Stability: Strengthen your core and overall stability with targeted weight training. Emphasis on good posture during weight training lays the groundwork for enhanced golf performance.

By dedicating this segment to posture, balance, and stability, CardioGolf® ensures that you build a solid foundation, setting the stage for the phases to come.
