These uncertain times are causing many of us to be stressed.  This is not good because stress can weaken our immune system making us more susceptible to illnesses. We need to exercise more than ever to take care of ourselves so we don’t get sick and so we are healthy enough to take care of our loved ones.

According to these studies, exercise has a unique attribute to boost your mood by stimulating your nervous system and helping your produce calming hormones that can help you relax and think more clearly.  This stimulation followed by calm can counter depression and lower stress levels.

These studies also show that getting a least 20 minutes of low to moderate-intensity exercise a day can improve the production of more white blood cells, which combat bacteria and viruses.
