Core muscles, which include the abdominal and back muscles, are essential to the golf swing to create power.  Studies show that there is a direct relationship between core strength and flexibility and balance.  The better your core strength and flexibility the better balance you will have. The better your balance, the more clubhead speed you can create.

Performing core and flexibility exercises like the ones in this workout on a regular basis can help strengthen muscles to improve golf swing and prevent injury.

Secondly, these exercises will boost your proprioception which connects the body motion you are doing with the brain,” says 8-time World Record Holder speed Skater Dan Jansen. ‘These exercises will not only help improve your balance and core strength but also train your ‘sixth sense’, which is your body awareness for where you are in space.”
