A Note from Karen Jansen, Creator of CardioGolf:

Thank you for subscribing to the CardioGolf Complete Access Video Subscription.  The last month has been very challenging for me personally and professionally.  I am a small business operation, so besides the obvious challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, there was a tragedy in our CardioGolf family.  Ken Pierce, owner of GolfGym.com and my CardioGolf business partner suddenly passed away.  He was my friend, partner, mentor and biggest champion of CardioGolf.  He helped me develop the CardioGolf Shortee Club and Slope and he was in charge of fulfillment and shipping.  He along with his wife Vicki were instrumental in helping me develop my CardioGolf Program.  I will continue to partner with Vicki Pierce to fulfill all CardioGolf orders.  It will be challenging to continue our business but we will continue to persevere to offer the best golf-fitness package available.

In attempt to honor my friend Ken and give you the best experience to improve your golf and fitness, I am trying to make improvements to your video subscription. Here are some improvements that I have been making:

  • New content added weekly including stay-at-home routines and longer follow along routines.
  • Each workout will be posted with and without music.  You can listen to your own music and still hear instructions and cues.
  • New workouts posted will be moved to the top of the video collection list so you can find them more easily.
  • Improved video image quality.  The workouts posted after April 25, 2020 will have better quality video.
  • Improved sound.  New workouts posted after April 25, 2020 will have better sound quality.  Workout videos with faulty or poor sound quality will be removed and replaced with new content.

Maximize Your Golf Performance

To maximize your golf performance, the golf athlete needs to do a variety of different exercises and workouts to build and fitness.  There are seven physical performance factors that are crucial to every golf-conditioning program: posture, balance, mobility, stability, power, coordination, and endurance.

The ideal way to train for golf is using a technique called Periodization. Periodization is the process of varying a training program at regular time intervals to bring about optimal gains in physical performance.  Periodization is a fancy word for seasonal training. In other words, you need to mix it up and do a variety of exercises during the year.

Your workouts should fit the season you are in.  Even if you play golf all year round, you still need to vary your workouts so not to plateau. In order to build strength, you need to constantly push yourself by increasing intensity and resistance.  But you also need to allow your body periods of rest to recover, so you don’t always want to be doing intense workouts.
