Making practice swings instead of hitting balls is a better way to improve your swing technique.  If you are trying to learn the swing or make a swing change, rehearsing the move without hitting a ball will assure that you are actually doing the correct move.  Repeating the motion that you want to achieve will help ingrain the move into your real swing.

Use the CardioGolf ‘Shortee’ Club  and Slope to practice everyday.  If you don’t have room to swing a regular golf indoors or you can’t make it to the golf course or driving range, use the CardioGolf ‘Shortee’ Club and Slope to practice anywhere and at anytime.

How to Beat those Uphill and Downhill Lies

Simulate an uphill lie by placing your foot on the UpSlope of the CardioGolf Slope. Lean your weight slightly towards your back foot and hold the Shortee Club as if you were going to hit a shot. Swing to the top and stop to make sure that your weight is loaded into your back leg. Feel the weight on the inside of the back foot and keep the back knee slightly flexed.

Simulate a downhill lie by placing your foot on the down slope of the CardioGolf Slope so that most of your weight is on the front side like a downhill lie.

  • Rehearse your backswing for 8 to 10 repetitions.
  • Then rehearse your downswing for 8 to 10 repetitions.
  • If your tendency is to do a reverse weight shift or pivot, this is an excellent drill to help learn the correct weight shift.
  • This exercise is great for anyone that needs to learn how to load the backswing.
  • The downhill portion of the exercise will help you with your weight shift towards the target.
