Have you ever wondered why you are supposed to wear a golf glove and why is there only one?   Watch how I explain the importance of the glove and why you should wear one to maximize your performance.

Wearing a golf glove serves several important purposes in the game of golf. While it may not be mandatory, I recommend that my students wear a golf glove because it can maximize your performance.

  • The glove gives you a better grip to prevent slipping or twisting.
  • The glove can give you better feel and more control of the clubface.
  • The glove provides a secure bond between your hand and the club.
  • Wearing a golf golf glove can reduce tension in your hands.
  • The golf glove acts as a shield between you and the club to protect the grip handle from getting wet, sweaty or oily.
  • A golf glove can help in raining weather or when it’s hot and humid.
  • A glove can protect your hands from abrasions from the grip handle.
  • A golf glove can give you more confidence that your hands are securely on the club.

Not all golfers choose to wear a golf glove, it is personal preference.
