What muscles are used in the golf swing?

As a golf performance coach, I get asked a lot what muscles are used in golf swing. It is impossible to pinpoint specific muscles that are used in the golf swing, so it is important to have a well-rounded strength and flexibility program to create symmetry in the body to prevent injury.
We need upper body and lower body strength to swing a club with some speed. Therefore all muscles are needed in the golf swing, but enhancing core stability through exercise can help prevent injury and also provide you with more power in your golf swing.
All this week we will do core exercises that not only help your strength but improve your swing technique as well.
